A.M. Dellinger

A.M. Dellinger was started in 1895 by Abraham Miller Dellinger. The first plant was at 632 North Christian Street and in 1910 moved to a larger plant at 723 North Prince Street, Lancaster, Pa. This was a four story building erected by Dellinger with 40 men employed. The company made numerous farm equipment.


Fisher sells Mountville to the A. M. Dellinger Company, Lancaster, Pa. in 1932 and begins to work for Dellinger. 


On September 16 1948 - A.M. Dellinger Mfg. Co. was bought out by New Holland Machine Co. (Dellinger died in 1949.) The Dellinger silage cutter became the basis for the New Holland 600 forage harvester. Below is some company brochures, U.S. Patents and family information.

1922 U.S. Patent 1,415,808 Grinding Disk

Abraham Miller Dellinger was born in 1864 and died 1949 (aged 84/85).  He is buried in Landisville Reformed Mennonite Cemetery, Landisville, Lancaster Coounty, Pa. 

Abraham married Elizabeth Hostetter Cope Dellinger, born 1869, died 1959 (aged 89-90). She is also buried in Landisville Reformed Mennonite Cemetery, Landisville, Lancaster County, Pa.

They had two daughters: Anne C Dellinger born 1892 died 1975 and buried in the same cemetery. Anne never married.


Their second daughter was Ruth Cope Dellinger born 1 April 1905 in Lancaster, died 1965 in Lancaster and also buried in Landisville Reformed Mennonite Cemetery. 

Ruth married Walter Heilaman Fisher born 7 Nov 1901 York County, Pa, died 18 Oct 1954 (age 52) in York County, Pa. Walter is buried in Prospect Hill Cemetery, York, Pa.
